Club Goals
The Western Australian Speed Boat Club, has been part of the Perth boating scene since the club was formed, in 1949. We are currently the only active Boat Racing club in Western Australia and are aligned with the Australian Power Boat Association as well as the Department of Sport and Recreation.
Our Club’s philosophy is to promote healthy competition, encourage participation and develop a culture of enjoying what we do while doing the best we can.
The Western Australian Speed Boat club has raced regularly on the Swan River since 1949, Senior members remain actively involved in the club to this day working with fellow members and volunteers to ensure compliance and safety remains paramount whilst generously passing on their many years of boat racing knowledge to all race drivers.
The objective of the WASBC is to foster and encourage speed boat racing in Western Australia and to promote our sport to the greater community whilst at all times introducing & developing new and existing drivers to continue and grow the exciting sport that is power boat racing.
